Red Flags Project
The Crescendo Collevtive collaborated on a school of film makers programme that gave an all access experience to a class of students from Greig City academy in Haringey.
Red Flags
Our directors Big Jest and Michelin shin created their new song ‘Red Flags’ and decided to collaborate with London lighting and the well renowned Don Prod (Double or Nothing Productions) in order to allow college students the opportunity to be the creative minds behind the video production.
With the supervision of London lighting, the students created the video treatment in class and then assisted in the planning, directing and even camera operation on the filming day. Each step was overseen by Jest and London lighting, then executed by Don Prod who are currently the most dominant force in videography and production for UK rap having worked with the likes of K Trap, Chip, Digga D, Headie One, Nines and more.
This programme gave the students a complete scope of the process included in planning, directing and filming a music video from the beginning to the end. Learning from all the mentors present, whilst getting real time experience of doing it all themselves. The students were then listed as directors of the video, giving them the official credit for their work and starting off their videography portfolio. The students even had a small cameo in the music video, which has now been released on YouTube as well as the behind the scenes which details the whole journey the students went through whilst bringing this project to life. gins with an idea.
